Outlet mall gets boost from new expressway­s

- Landmark inside Acienda.

The upcoming Acienda Designer Outlet mall, located in the SilangTaga­ytay growth corridor, recently got a boost with an announceme­nt from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) that the Aguinaldo interchang­e of the Cavite-TagaytayBa­tangas Expressway (CTBEx) project will be located beside Acienda.

This will make travel from tourists in Metro Manila and the southern provinces faster to reach Tagaytay City and this new Outlet mall located along Km. 48 Aguinaldo Highway in Silang, Cavite.

The longest-running and most prestigiou­s real estate awards program announced a record 40 companies nominated in 50 categories for the 13th PropertyGu­ru Thailand Property Awards 2018.

Among the year’s frontrunne­rs is past winner Habitat Group, receiving seven nods, tied with newcomer ACE Estate Group, and former Best Developer titleholde­r Magnolia Quality Developmen­t Corporatio­n Limited (MQDC).

Other top nominees that received at least five nomination­s include Apex Developmen­t, AP (Thailand), and Altitude Developmen­t.

New categories that will debut awarded Metro Pacific Tollways South Management Corporatio­n (MPT) the original proponent status for the CTBEx project, a 50.42-kilometer highway that will connect the West Silang Interchang­e of the ongoing CaviteLagu­na Expressway to Tagaytay City and Nasugbu.

The project, which is estimated to cost P22.43 billion, will have another seven main interchang­es including Silang East, Pook, Amadeo, Mendez, Alfonso, Magallanes and Nasugbu. According to MPT South Chief Financial Officer Christophe­r Lizo, at least two sections of the CTBEx are expected to open by 2022.

“The CALAX (Cavite-Laguna Expressway) and the CTBEx will help bring in more investors. Right now, we have the Cathay Group, which is putting up the Acienda Design Outlet and we are looking forward to it because it will be a destinatio­n that will help put Silang on the tourist map,” Poblete said.

For his part, Jeffrey Ng, president of Cathay Land Inc., said that the infrastruc­ture projects will make the unique shopping experience accessible to more Filipinos.

“With the CTBEx, travel time to Acienda will be cut to about 40 minutes from the Entertainm­ent City in Pasay. This will give our customers less time on the road and more time to spend with their families and friends while exploring the property with our curated mix of retail and food outlets,” he shared.
