Albayalde gives out awards in MIMAROPA today
CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — The Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office (PPO) will be awarded as the Best PPO in MIMAROPA (Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) region in today’s celebration of the Philippine National Police 117th Police Service Anniversary with PNP Director General Oscar Albayalde as guest of honor and speaker at Camp Efigenio Navarro in Calapan City.
Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Luis D. Licup, regional director of Police Regional OfficeMIMAROPA said Director General Albayalde will also give awards to other PNP units, officers and individuals who were chosen as this year’s recipients of various PNP awards for their exemplary dedication to duty and efficient performance of job as law enforcers.
Aside from being the Best PPO, Oriental Mindoro PPO’s provincial director, Senior Superintendent Christopher C. Birung will be conferred with Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer (PCO) for Operations together with Sr. Supt. Rhode A. Espero as Best Senior PCO for Administration.
The Occidental Mindoro PPO was selected as the Best Police Strategy Management Unit while the Puerto Princesa City Police Office is the Best Drug Enforcement Unit.
The other awardees are Romblon Provincial Mobile Force Company (Best PMFC), Oriental Mindoro PPO (Best Women and Children Police Desk), Palawan PPO (Best Police Human Rights Desk), 402nd B Maneuver Company Regional Mobile Force Batallion (Best Maneuver Company), Regional Finance Support Office (Best Administrative Support Unit), Regional Intelligence Unit (Best Regional Operational Support Unit), Pinamalayan Municipal Police Station (Best MPS).
Special Unit Awards will go to Regional Health Service MIMAROPA (Special Award for Administrative Support Unit), Regional Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (Special Award for Operational Support Unit).
Individual awards will be given to Supt. Raquel L. Martinez (Best Junior PCO for Administration), Chief Inspector Anthony J. Ramos (Best Junior PCO for Operations), Senior Police Officer 1 Frederick D. Campomanes (Best Senior Police NonCommissioned Officer for Administration), SPO1 Ronaldo V. Ravanera (Best Senior PNCO for Operations), PO2 Aldrei L. Barairo (Best Junior PNCO for Administration), PO2 Emmanuel G. Mamburam (Best Jr. PNCO for Operations), Ma. Perpetua D. Cortez (Best Non-Uniformed Personnel Non-Supervisory Level).
Albayalde will also give Special Individual Awards to Sr. Insp. Teofilo B. Awingan (Best PCO for Anti-Illegal Drug Operations), SPO3 Melvin V. Pasudag (Best PNCO for Anti-Illegal Drugs Operations), Supt. Danilo U. Driz (Best PCO for Internal Security Operations (ISO) and PO1 Nino B. Baylon (Best PNCO for ISO).
Chief Supt. Licup said the celebration is part of the nationwide Police Service Anniversary which started last August 8 in Camp Crame in due recognition of the significance and relevance of its historical beginning in 1901 with the formation of the Insular Constabulary which was later renamed Philippine Constabulary and merged with the Integrated National Police on August 8, 1975.
This year’s activity carries the theme, “Pagbabago sa Hanay ng Pulisya: Hatid ay Likas na Pamayanan Laban sa Korupsyon, Krimen at Iligal na Droga.”
