Bishop on inflation: Spend wisely, speak up

- By ANALOU DE VERA

A Roman Catholic bishop is encouraging the faithful to spend their money wisely and not forget to seek guidance amid soaring prices.

We must value the money that we have and spend it appropriately. While we are maintaining our budget, let us pray to the Lord that this too shall pass),” said Manila Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo in a radio interview yesterday.

Meanwhile, Pabillo said that the public must also express their opinions and not to be silent regarding the increase in prices of goods and services.

I always say to the faithful to express themselves with regards to the issue. More importantly, government officials should resolve the problem),” he added.

Magsalita tayo (We must not remain silent and relate it on how our country is being governed. Let us speak)," he said.

Pabillo also urged President Duterte to listen to the grievances of the public.

I call on the President to listen to the grievances of the people because various abuses were felt and some of his promises were not fulfilled).
