CEBU CITY – The first integrated theme park family entertainment complex will be built at the Calajoan Cebu South Road in Minglanilla town, Cebu.

The groundbreaking for Belmont One at its 3.5-hectare location was held Monday. It is scheduled to officially open in the last quarter of 2018.

According to its president Chester Lim, Belmont One will be the first integrated family entertainment complex in the Visayas and Mindanao. It will provide a variety of amenities such as hotels, restaurants, retail and shopping centers.

“It has a world-class theme park with exciting rides, food stalls, and game booths. We will introduce the Anjo World, Cebu’s first and only worldclass theme park here,” Lim said.

Anjo World features the differentthemed zones based on the continents of the world--Europe, Asia, America, Africa, all in one setting.

Lim said at a press conference that among Anjo World’s rides is a 160 feet Ferris wheel, a spinning roller coaster, a grand carousel, bumper cars and bumper boats.

Aside from thrill rides such as the tower drop and the Viking, there will also be kiddie rides such as teacups and arcade games, Lim added.

Belmont One is expected to generate 500 new jobs and new income revenue streams for Minglanilla, while serving as an accessible entertainment destination for nearby cities and provinces in Central Visayas and from the Mindanao area, Lim said.

“Over a million people in Minglanilla and its surrounding municipalities will be able to enjoy the convenience of shopping and entertainment, saving time and fuel,” Lim said.
