Pirates eye 12th straight win vs EAC

-

Games Today (The Arena, San Juan City) 10 a.m. – Lyceum vs EAC (Jrs) 12 noon – JRU vs Mapua (Jrs) 2 p.m. – Lyceum vs EAC (Srs) 4 p.m. – JRU vs Mapua (Srs)

Lyceum shoots for its 12th straight win against Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) today at 2 p.m. in NCAA men’s basketball at The Arena in San Juan City.

Coming off an 82-74 triumph over Jose Rizal University (JRU) last Friday, Lyceum hopes to ride on that momentum behind reigning Most Valuable Player CJ Perez.

While Perez is consistently at the forefront of their assault with doublefigure productions, the Pirates also have twins Jayvee and Jaycee Marcelino as well as Mike Nzeusseu to do damage especially in the crunch.

Lyceum coach Topex Robinson, however, has cautioned his stalwarts against complacency against a hungry team like EAC.

Still nursing a 78-67 loss to the San Sebastian Stags last week, the Generals are expected to double their efforts to improve their 2-8 card near the bottom.

Jerome Garcia and Hamadou Laminou are slated to challenge Lyceum’s frontline but the duo needs more support from their teammates to compete against the Pirates’ strong lineup.

In the other game, JRU and Mapua try to crawl out from the bottom when they collide at 4 p.m.

The Bombers tote a 2-9 record while the Cardinals are at 2-8.
