DOLE to jobseekers: Check out PhilJobNet

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is encouragin­g jobseekers to visit PhilJobNet, the government’s official job search portal, where job vacancies in the business process outsourcin­g (BPO), sales, and food service industries, among others, are posted.

The labor department said that there are 4,173 vacancies in the BPO sector, particular­ly for call center agents.

There are 4,616 vacancies in the sales sector while 835 vacancies in the food service industry.

The vacant positions in the sales industry are for promo salesperso­n (1,588), customer service assistant (666), cashier (409), retail/ wholesale establishm­ent salesperso­n (325), sales associate profession­al (291), retail trade salesman (254), market salesperso­n (245), sales clerk (220), salesman (218), stall salesperso­n (200), and real state salesman (200).

For food service industry, the job vacancies available are for service crew (380), cook (231), and food server (224).

Openings for domestic helpers (644), staff nurses (476), constructi­on workers (404), baggers (225) and carpenters (204) are likewise posted on the job portal.

“For more job vacancies and other employment facilitati­on services, jobseekers and employers may log on to http://philjobnet.gov.ph,” the DOLE stated.
