Duterte links critics to destab plot

- By ARGYLL CYRUS B. GEDUCOS

President Duterte is merely waiting for the right opportunity before he declassifies the information linking Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV, the Liberal Party, and the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) to a plot to topple the government.

In a speech in Cebu, Duterte cautioned the people about believing in the wrong people, or those who are out to destabilize his government.

"Sa politika, pamili mo. Pero og masayop mo, mutuo mo aning mag labutsing, mao ra gihapong mga tawhana (In politics, you choose. But if you make a mistake, if you believe in these fools, still the same people)," he said.

The President revealed that information from the intelligence community showed that there are individuals and groups working to discredit the adminis- tration's efforts to improve the country.

"Sa gawas sa Intelligence, sila gihapon. Communist Party of the Philippines, Trillanes, dilaw (Results that the Intelligence released show it’s still them. Communist Party of the Philippines, Trillanes, the yellows)," he said.

"Ipagawas ko na. I-timing lang nako. Naabot na sa amo. Gi-drawing na daan (I will show it. I’m just waiting for the right time. But it has reached us already. It has been drawn as well)," he added.

Duterte claimed that with the CPP, it may be the group's founder Jose Maria Sison himself who is working with Trillanes and the people who are behind the senator.
