Eton developing ‘nano-township’

- By JAMES A. LOYOLA

Eton Properties Philippines Inc., the real estate development arm of LT Group, is developing what it calls a “nano-township” in Makati.

In a statement, the firm said the mixed-use development called Eton WestEnd Square will have forward-thinking tech and online companies, eco-friendly shops, social enterprises, unique homegrown restaurants and other new enterprise concepts.

“Eton WestEnd Square enjoins them to be part of a prime property showcase of the new cowork, co-play, co-live standard,” the company said.

It added that, “the development’s strategic location in West Makati offers a high-value business and commercial address while being distinct enough from the city’s known hustle and bustle.”

Found on the corner of Chino Roces Ave., Yakal, and Malugay streets, the project will have easy access to buses, taxi cabs, shuttle vans, jeepneys, and even tricycles just outside the gates.

Within the township will rise the two storey eWestMall that will have retail spaces that Eton Properties aims to transform into a co-play hub, featuring brands that gather and connect people through unique shopping and dining experiences, as well as services.

With a total leasable space of approximately 3,750 square meters, it can be an ideal launch pad for upcoming brands, homegrown businesses, and brick-and-mortar shops of start-ups.

Meanwhile, eWestPod will offer up four floors of work spaces best-suited for business process outsourcing firms, tech companies, and start-ups. The low-rise office building will have approximately 13,955 square meters for lease.

Eton WestEnd Square is set to complete eWestPod and eWestMall this year.

Also part of the township is the 36-floor mixed-use development called Blakes Tower that will house serviced apartments, a dormitory, and boutique offices.

It will feature shared amenities such as breakout rooms and lounge areas per floor. Its amenity-filled serviced apartments will support business travelers’ connected, on-the-go lifestyles.

Blakes Co-Living boasts of contemporary living spaces hinged on the unique co-living concept while Blakes Offices will serve the growing number of start-up companies and SMEs in the country with boutique offices and co-working areas.
