Connectivity agreement covering Visayas signed

-

CEBU CITY — Philippine Long Distance Telephone (PLDT) through its small and medium business group, (SME Nation) and Fil-Products Service Television, Inc. (FPSTI) have signed a memorandum of agreement to increase connectivity in the Visayas.

Fil-Products President Nonito Limchua said the firm has always been focused on innovation to provide strong digital infrastructure that will keep customers connected.

Fil-Products is one of the top cable TV and broadband providers in Tacloban City. Limchua noted that through PLDT SME Nation bandwidth and connectivity solutions and services, it can deliver more enhanced services to its customers.

“PLDT’s connectivity services can provide our customers Internet access with similar quality of connectivity with those living in the Metro because we are expanding our services to neighboring districts and cities,” he added.

PLDT SME Nation head Mitch Locsin said PLDT continues to expand its reach to regions outside major metropolitan hubs to enable holistic growth and development for the country.

“As a native of Ormoc, this partnership has a very special place in my heart. I watched the region of Leyte — Tacloban included — rise to become one of Visayas’ fastest-emerging economies, despite the challenges Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) brought with it a few years ago,” Locsin said.

He noted though that watching Tacloban recover from Yolanda and sustain its momentum is joy and privilege — not just to her personally, but to all the PLDT staff. (Minerva BC Newman)
