To help Senior High School (SHS) students learn more about the schools, courses, businesses, and scholarship opportunities that they can avail after graduating, a city-wide education fair will be held starting today, November 13.

Edukasyon.ph, in partnership with the government of Muntinlupa, is organizing a two-day expo. Dubbed, “Muntinlupa TNK Expo” the city-wide education fair will be at the Muntinlupa Sports Complex. It is open to both private and public students.

Working alongside Edukasyon.ph and the Muntinlupa City Government in putting up this initiative are the Department of Education (DepEd), the Public Service Employment Office (PESO), the Gender and Development Office of the Muntinlupa City Government, Muntinlupa district representative Rozzano Rufino “Ruffy” Biazon; and Catherine Mary “Trina” Biazon from the city’s Gender and Development Office.

The TNK Expo – which stands for “Trabaho, Negosyo, Kolehiyo” – aims to provide SHS students with more options after graduation, whether they choose to pursue a career, open up a business or proceed to higher education.

“We are grateful to partner with the Muntinlupa government in giving students more options after senior high school,” said Henry Motte-Muñoz, CEO of Edukasyon.ph. “Through this expo, we hope to empower students in terms of helping them choose the right options for themselves, such as giving them opportunities to pursue a college education, and preparing them for the right career after graduation,” he added.

Local schools that are participating in the event include Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa, Colegio de Muntinlupa and Muntinlupa Technical Institute, each of which will hold booths for the students during the expo, where they can feature their respective program offerings and even sell their products.

Aside from booths held by participating schools, the expo will also feature guest speakers for the students, namely Chuks Arias, founder of Pinaywrites.com; Jeanette Salvilla, an entrepreneur and owner of boutique store Fashionology; Department of Labor and Employment director Dominique Rubia-Tutay; Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi; and Alvin Feron of the Muntinlupa Scholarship Office.

Entrance to the TNK Expo is also free of charge, and is exclusively open to students and citizens residing in Muntinlupa.
