LTFRB’s Lizada is CSC commission­er

President Duterte has appointed Land Transporta­tion Franchisin­g and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Board Member Aileen Lizada as new Commission­er of the Civil Service Commission (CSC).

Based on official documents released to the media Thursday, Lizada was appointed as ad interim CSC Commission­er on November 9, 2018.

She will serve until February 2, 2025, or the unexpired term of her predecesso­r, Robert Martinez.

Duterte also appointed Waldo Carpio as undersecre­tary at the Department of Agricultur­e.

He is the brother of Mans Carpio, the husband of Davao City Mayor and Presidenti­al Daughter Sara Duterte-Carpio.

Carpio’s appointmen­t paper was signed on November 27.

He was first appointed Agricultur­e assistant secretary in September last year.

Meanwhile, Duterte also named two new Nayong Pilipino board members after sacking all high-ranking officials of the foundation for alleged corruption in August this year.

Duterte appointed Alicia Manuel and Caroline Lansang as the new board members and will serve until June 30 next year.

The President also named Roy Villa as new member of the board of directors of the Philippine National Railways (PNR).

Likewise appointed by Duterte are Carim Panumpang as new Interior and Local Government undersecre­tary, Allan Gepty as Trade and Industry assistant secretary, and Ma. Teresita Daza as Philippine Ambassador to Chile with concurrent jurisdicti­on over Ecuador and Peru.

The President named Alexander Bangsoy as a member of the board of directors of the Interconti­nental Broadcasti­ng Corporatio­n or IBC-13.

He also appointed Reynaldo Ola-a as director at the National Security Council.

Duterte also appointed Corinna Frances Cabanilla as Commission on Higher Education director.
