GrabTaxi now in Subic

Grab Philippines is bringing its GrabTaxi service to the Subic Bay Freeport Zone (SBFZ).

Grab Philippines Country Head Brian Cu said Grab has accredited, trained and equipped 120 taxi driver-partners with the Grab application to be able to provide locals and tourists a reliable transportaztion service within the booming freeport.

“As the everyday app, we at Grab believe in the smart cities of tomorrow, and introducing our technology to Subic brings it closer to its vision of building its very own smart city. With GrabTaxi now in place, locals and tourists will now have a more convenient, safer, and faster way of commuting,” Cu said in a statement.

“Our vision as an everyday super app is to be present where we are needed, all while providing the best services to our customers. Our commitment to expand our services in more Philippine cities remain, so that more and more Filipinos can enjoy riding with Grab,” Cu said.

SBMA Chairman Wilma T. Eisma said the GrabTaxi service will benefit employees of the 1,600 freeport locators.

“Having Grab as a partner to drive Subic to become a smart city is truly a blessing. We share the same goal of providing convenience to Filipinos. GrabTaxi can make a difference in the lives of locals and tourists in Subic,” she said.

Grab services are also available in Metro Manila, Cebu City, Davao City, Pampanga, Cagayan de Oro City, Bacolod City, Baguio City, Bataan City, Naga City, Iloilo City and Tacloban City.
