PNPA kicks out 3 cadets over lewd order
Three cadets of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) were dismissed from the cadetship after they were found guilty of forcing two underclassmen to perform oral sex on each other two months ago.
Chief Supt. Jose Chiquito Malayo, PNPA superintendent said the three cadets were found to have violated Rule V of the PNPA Cadet Guide on Sexual Misconduct, Undesirable Traits of Characters and Conduct unbecoming of an officer or Acts Inimical or Prejudicial to Good Order or Discipline.
“They are meted the penalty of dismissal from the cadetship program based on the result of the investigation which found them guilty,” said Malayo.
“They can submit their motion for reconsideration within 48 hours upon receipt of the decision today,” he added.
The order stemmed from a complaint of two freshmen cadets of the PNPA, who accused their upperclassman, a third-year cadet, of ordering them to perform oral sex on October 26 while two others watched the two plebes.
The incident resulted in the relief of Chief Supt. Joseph Adnol as PNPA superintendent and was replaced by Malayo.
The PNPA was hounded by two controversies this year, the first was the mauling of two upperclassmen by a group of cadets on the day of their graduation.
The PNP leadership has been pushing for control and supervision of the PNPA amid the controversies. The PNPA is currently under the supervision of the Philippine Public Safety College, including the training of cadets.
