5 children rescued, mother arrested in cybersex ops raid

ILIGAN CITY – Joint police operatives rescued five children, aged two to 10 years old, and arrested a mother operating an online sexual exploitati­on on children (OSEC) in Purok San Miguel, Barangay Tubod here last Wednesday.

The raid was conducted by elements of the Women and Children Protection Center-Mindanao Field Unit (WCPCFEU), the Iligan City Police (ICP), local and national welfare officials, an officials of an internatio­nal non-government organizati­on (NGO).

Arrested was Jenelyn Delostrico, 30, and a resident of the house that was raided by authoritie­s.

Sr. Insp. James M. Daleon, ICP Station 4 commander, said the suspect was traced through her Facebook account where transactio­ns were monitored showing that she was making profit by showing lewd photos and videos of the children.

“Ang account ng subject natin ay napasok ng mga investigat­or natin na nagpapangg­ap na clients, mga foreigners ang mga investigat­or”, Daleon said.

The suspect sent nude photos and videos of the minors aged two to ten years old, one of whom was even her own daughter. The rest were children of neighbors.

Jenelyn said she received R1,000 and R1, 500 only from her clients.

According to Daleon, Jenelyn’s daughter, aged 10, invited the children to play inside their rented house, and gave them food and chocolates.
