Go urges supporters to help fire victims instead

- By LYKA MANALO

BATANGAS CITY - Former Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Christopher ‘Bong’ Go is appealing to his supporters to donate plywood and other building materials to fire vicitms rather than producing billboards or tarpulins bearing his photo and Christmas message.

I appeal to my supporters to donate building materials to fire victims rather than puting up billboards and streamers), Go said in an interview with the local media.

Go issued the appeal after it was reported that the city government of Silay took down a tarpaulin with his photo and Christmas greeting for violating a city ordinance.

I have no knowledge of the incident. There is no need to post a tarpulin with my photos but some supporters of President Duterte want to support me and I am grateful for that, however, they should follow the law, no exemption),” Go added.

Go graced the Interbarangay MiniOlympics hosted by Deputy Speaker and Batangas 2nd District Representative Raneo Abu at the Batangas City Sports Coliseum.
