Malaysia’s co-working space company now in PH
Common Ground, Malaysia’s premier co-working space, is set to open its first branch in the Philippines. The first Common Ground coworking space will be in the 2,300-sqm penthouse of the newly-launched Arthaland Tower in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) and is patterned after the structure of their offices in Malaysia. Their co-working offices in Makati and Ortigas are set to be launched within the year.
Common Ground is in partnership with MVP Global Infrastructure Group (MVP Global), a private investment firm present in Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
In the Philippines, there are over 40 co-working spaces scattered around the key business hubs of Makati, BGC, and Ortigas with an average rate ranging from 1400 to 11,200 per day.
The flourishing co-working space industry in the country is what Common Ground saw as an opportunity to put up their aesthetically-designed and laid out co-working space that will be strategically situated in BGC.
The company launched its flagship co-working location in Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in March 2017. Since then, they’ve opened in various locations across the country and their co-working community now has around 2,000 members.
Carrying two titles – one of the most Instagrammable co-working destinations and Malaysia’s largest co-working space – Common Ground boasts a vibrant, fresh, and young vibe that it promises to bring to the Philippines.
“Co-working means more than a desk and internet connection in a communal workspace but building an engaged community and vibrant ecosystem to help ambitious, fastgrowing companies take business to the next level,” said Ana Lucia Aguila, Common Ground Community Manager.
Together with an in-house team of designers and architects that can design office spaces according to the customers’ preferred layout, furnishings, brand identity, business specifications and IT needs, Common Ground can also provide staff with years of experience managing workspaces to ensure that the office operations run smoothly and efficiently.
“Here, you get to enjoy best of both worlds, with the flexibility of determining when and where they want to work and, at the same time, develop an opportunity to network and collaborate,” said Erman Akinci, founder of Common Ground.
He also added that the combination of a well-designed and well-organized work environment will be the reason for companies, start-ups, and even established companies to go for and thrive in co-working spaces.
It has also partnered with companies to provide benefits. Air Asia, Shangri-La, GuavaPass, and more have already been signed on to enhance the community’s experience.
