Two 16-year-old boys were apprehended Sunday, one for possession of illegal drugs, and the other boy, who is already listed as the No. 6 in the most wanted list of Marikina, for robbery.

Taguig City Police said the boy apprehended in the area yielded about a kilo of marijuana.

Investigation showed that the teen was arrested at around 12:50 a.m. along Reposar St. Upper Bicutan, Taguig City by Police Officer 1 Herce Jerome Luna and PO1 Ronel Popanes of the Taguig City Police.

According to the report, members of the Police Community Precinct 2 of the Taguig City Police were conducting an anti-criminality operation along Reposar St., Upper Bicutan Taguig City.

There, they chanced upon the teen who was carrying illegal drugs inside a bag. Police recovered from him five plastic packs of suspected marijuana, weighing more or less 1 kilogram.

The other 16-year-old boy who is listed by the police as the sixth most wanted personality in Marikina City for robbery, was arrested in San Mateo, Rizal Sunday afternoon.

The police arrested the suspect who is known as a burglar and is involved in “akyat bahay.”

He was arrested 4:15 p.m. on Sunday by the police who were armed with an arrest warrant issued by Hon. Judge Lorna Catris ChuaCheng of Marikina City Regional Trial Court Branch 168 dated October 11 for the crime of robbery.

Intelligence operatives nabbed the minor inside his grandmother’s house in Barangay Ampid 1, San Mateo, Rizal, police said.

The police first conducted a series of surveillance operations at the residence of the suspect in Barangay Nangka, Marikina.

However, it was learned that the suspect was no longer residing in Marikina and was already in Rizal staying at his grandmother’s house.

The minor is now under the custody of the Social Welfare and Development Office and his court of origin will be notified about his arrest.
