- By JHON ALDRIN CASINAS

Two men who allegedly broke into the locked room of two teachers and stole their electronic devices and cash, were arrested in Mandaluyong City Thursday.

Police identified the suspect as Al Vadehueza, 24; and Abel Aniceto, 25 — both are residents of Barangay Addition Hills in Mandaluyong City.

Investigation showed that at around 5:45 a.m. Thursday, public school teachers Lurita Sabulao, 29; and Theresa Karla Abucot, 28 left their boarding house, locking their room when they went to school.

At around 7 a.m., police said Abucot received a message from their neighbor that their room was open.

When Abucot arrived to check their room, she saw that their main door was forcibly opened and their belongings scattered. She also found out that her backpack, 110,000 cash and the laptop and charger of her fellow teacher were missing, police said.

Luckily, the incident was captured by the nearby close-circuit television (CCTV) camera where Vadehueza was seen carrying the missing backpack. On the other hand, Aniceto was not captured in the CCTV footage, police said.

Abucot reported the incident to the police where they conducted a follow-up operation and arrested the duo where the cops recovered the stolen items except her 18,080 cash.

The two men are now detained and will be charge with a case of theft.
