GROUNDBREAKING FOR SAN LORENZO RUIZ GENERAL HOSPITAL
Malabon City’s first and newest general hospital will soon provide quality healthcare services to the people of Malabon and its nearby cities like Caloocan, Navotas, Valenzuela and some residents from the province of Bulacan.
San Lorenzo Ruiz Women’s Hospital (SLRWH) is an authorized 10-bed capacity hospital established in March 1990. It is the smallest government hospital in the National Capital Region that caters mostly women and children. Wanting to expand and restore the City’s healthcare services, Malabon City Congressman Federico “Ricky” Sandoval II with the inputs of Vice Mayor Jeannie Sandoval, authored House Bill 5791 in 2017 converting San Lorenzo Ruiz Women’s Hospital into the San Lorenzo Ruiz General Hospital to be built in Barangay Panghulo, Malabon City.
“This is going to be the first and modern general hospital in the City. From a mere 10-bed capacity health care facility, the soon-to-be-built newest and modern general hospital in Malabon City to be known as San Lorenzo Ruiz General Hospital will have 200 beds ready to provide quality and accessible healthcare services and cater the needs of the most vulnerable people of Malabon City,” said Congressman Ricky Sandoval.
A groundbreaking at the site of the San Lorenzo Ruiz General Hospital led by President Rodrigo Duterte was held at Panghulo Road Bautista corner, Brgy. Panghulo, Malabon City.
“This groundbreaking entails hope and future for Malabon. This is the fulfillment and realization of the President’s vision of good governance of healthcare and welfare of Filipinos. Everyone is excited to start the construction and blessing of the new site with the presence of our President,” added Vice Mayor Jeannie Sandoval.
