Breast milk is best for babies in fighting measles
DAGUPAN CITY – Breastfeeding should be the top priority for babies.
This was disclosed by Dr. Robin Navarro, a cellular and biochemical medicine specialist, who said that breast milk is a big factor in fighting diseases, including measles .
" Ang gatas ng ina ay may tinatawag na anti bodies kontra measles kaya ang mga sanggol ay may resistance sa lahat ng sakit at ang tawag doon ay passive immunity (A mother’s milk has what you call anti-bodies against measles that would give the infant the resistance against many diseases. It’s called passive immunity)," Navarro explained.
In fact, Navarro noted that breast feeding was more than a vaccination for all kinds of diseases.
"Kung maubusan ng breast milk, ay ibinibigay ay unpasturized milk. At pagdating ng six months ang sanggol, bigyan na rin ito ng egg yolk, rich in cholesterol. Ang trabaho ng cholesterol ay sa immune system, panlaban sa lahat ng sakit na kung saan nag -assemble ng immune system,” Navarro said.
(If you run out of breast milk, give the infant unpasteurized milk. And upon reaching six months, the baby should be given egg yolk which is rich in cholesterol. Cholesterol works for the immune system to fight all sorts of illnesses.)
Navarro likewise underscored the importance of eggs in the diet of an infant, calling it the food with the "highest biological value."
"(Egg) is highest in glutathione, highest in carotenoids. Four hundred (400) carotenoids can be found in the egg yolk. You can't fight diseases without egg,” he said.
Just because the yolk contains cholesterol, everybody is afraid of (eating) egg," he added.
He said Medical science will find this hard to believe but he has all the journals to back up what he is talking about.
On the other hand, Navarro advised parents who wants their children be vaccinated to improved first there immunity system.
