Wanna One’s Bae Jin-young to hold Manila fan meeting in May
Bae Jin-young, who achieved fame as member of the K-pop boy band Wanna One, will hold his first fan meeting in Manila.
C9 Entertainment, his agency, announced that the 18-year-old star’s fan meet is dubbed “Im Young: 1st Asia Fan Meeting Tour.”
It will start in Seoul on April 27 and 28 followed by Manila on May 18, the first stop outside South Korea.
He will then meet fans in Osaka, Japan on May 25, Tokyo on May 26, Singapore on June 8, Bangkok on June 15, Hong Kong on June 22, and Taiwan on June 23. During a V Live broadcast on Feb. 27, Bae Jin-young talked about his first Asia fan meeting tour.
“I’ve been to these places while performing in Wanna One but going there to meet fans again, I feel very nervous and happy. I’m looking forward to it. I want to meet fans as soon as possible,” he said.
In 2017, Bae Jin-young participated on Mnet’s survival audition TV show “Produce 101” Season 2 where 101 male contestants competed to become one of the 11 members of a temporary boy band.
The show ran from April to June 2017 and during the finale, Bae Jinyoung won, placing tenth with total votes of 807,749. He debuted as a member of Wanna One on Aug. 7, 2017.
Wanna One promoted for oneand-a-half years until their contracts expired last Dec. 31. They held the farewell concerts in Seoul on Jan. 24 to 27.
Bae Jin-young recently graduated from Lila Art High School in Seoul.
