2 nabbed for possession of counterfeit money
Two men were arrested for possessing counterfeit bills in separate incidents in Pasay City and Las Piñas City on Wednesday.
Nurhan Nur, 25, was arrested on Wednesday for using counterfeit bills to buy a bus ticket in Pasay City
According to the report submitted by Police Col. Bernard Yang, Nur was arrested by police after receiving a report from a cashier inside the Grand Courier Terminal at around 4:15 p.m.
Police said that the cashier informed them about the fake money after the suspect purchased a bus ticket.
Recovered from Nur were a piece of 11,000 bill; 30 pieces of 1500 bills; 150 pieces of 1200 bills; and 50 pieces of 150 bills.

Meanwhile, a Chinese national was arrested in Las Piñas City after 100 pieces of fake 11,000 bills were recovered from his possession on Wednesday.
He was identified as Qijun Wang, 55, a resident of Caloocan City.
Investigation revealed that Wang was initially apprehended for giving a fake 11,000 bill to pay for his meals at the China Food City in Barangay Almanza 1 at around 7:30 p.m.
He was then brought to the police station where 100 pieces of the fake 11,000 bills were retrieved from him.
According to chief of the Las Piñas police Colonel Simnar Gran, Wang claimed that his employer gave the fake money to him as his salary.
He was turned over to the Station Investigation Division Management Branch (SIDMB) of the Las Piñas City Police for proper disposition.
Both Nur and Wang will be charged with violation of illegal possession and use of false treasury or bank notes.
