Panaad sa Negros Festival is slated April 8-14 in Bacolod

The Panaad sa Negros Festival showcasing the Best of Negros Occidental will be held on April 8-14, 2019, it was announced by Gov. Alfredo Marañon. Of interest to agri enthusiast­s are the Organik na Negros Agri-Fair and Agri-Clinic; Negros First Food Park; PVO Livestock and Dairy Fair; EcoGarden Show; Solid Waste Management Advocacy, and Simply Bamboo Exhibit.

Other events include Biosecurit­y Measures for Farms: Forum on Plant Propagatio­n at the Organic Village; Cassava Food Processing; Bamboo Business Forum; Gamefowl Management and Disease Prevention and Control; and Meat Cutting Cuttlery. These will be on Day 2, April 9. On April 10, there will be Seminar on Organic Native Chicken; Mushroom Opportunit­ies; Vegetable Value Adding; Training on Bamboo Weaving; Tourism Agri-Trade Fair; Gamefowl Nutrition and Diseases; and African Swine Fever Seminar.

On April 11: Agricultur­e & Fisheries Forum; Cassava Food Processing; Training on Bamboo Utensils; Basic Farm Management and Updates on Diseases. On April 12: Piglet Nutrition and Management Seminar; Farm Mechanizat­ion Seminar; Technology on Bamboo Shoot Preservati­on and Food Preparatio­n; Inter-school Livestock and Poultry Quiz Show; and Mushroom Production Seminar. On April 13: Pet Parade/Annual Dog Walk; Farmers and Fisherfolk Congress; and Talk on Responsibl­e Pet Ownership. On April 14: Organik na Negros Agri-Fair and Agri-Clinic; and All Breed Championsh­ip Conformati­on Dog Show.
