CEU RECEIVES NEW OPTICAL EQUIPMENT FROM IDEAL VISION AND I.O.S.

The Centro Escolar University (CEU) School of Optometry received new equipment from Ideal Vision Center and I.O.S. Marketing Corporation during the recent donation ceremony at the CEU Vision and Eye Care Center in CEU Manila.

The two donors gave refracting chairs with stand, slit-lamp biomicroscope, autorefractometer with stand, phoropter head, LCD monitor, digital lensmeter, keratometer, PD meter, and trial case. Aside from these, Ideal Vision also donated 500 assorted reading glasses and frames which will be used in the school’s community outreach programs.

Dr. Mary Chan, president of the Ideal Vision Center, is a CEU School of Optometry alumna. She considers this donation as her way of giving back to her alma mater and to also pay forward to the community. IOS Managing Director Dr. Jenny Oo has been serving CEU since the 1980s as supplier of quality equipment.

“This is not just a donation for the University, but a donation of the future,” said Dr. Ma. Cristina Padolina, CEU President and Chief Academic Officer. Dr. Elena Borromeo, Dean of the School of Optometry also thanked them for recognizing CEU as one of the country’s best Optometry schools.
