Sun is up, so move your feet

- By KIM FERRER

Kiss the long cold nights goodbye and hello to summer! Welcome the vibrant summer with new experiences that will move your feet. Here are five things you can do:

1. Hop on a tricycle

The City of Malabon has its famous tricycle tours that will let you discover the city’s heritage and food. Some of the spots included are San Bartolome Church, Syjuco Heritage House and a trip to Angel's Cacnio's House and Art Gallery, etc. The tour is a culinary extravaganza that you don’t want to miss. 2. Walk around the Circle

The Quezon Memorial Circle is among the biggest parks in the country. You can walk for your health or walk for heritage. There’s a new Presidential Car Museum inside the QMC which was just inaugurated late last year. It is an experience to see the classic and luxurious cars used by our country’s past presidents. 3. Wave along the river

Enjoy a river tour along the Pasig River and discover the river’s rich history. This tour offers you to see the other side of Manila while you marvel through notable buildings and historical landmarks around the metro. See the historical bridges up close!

4. Volunteer for a cause

Join the newest online #TrashtagChallenge by making your summer a meaningful one. Join the Manila Bay cleanup drive and use summer as your time to give back to Mother Earth. It is set every Saturday at 7 a.m. along the seaside boardwalk on Roxas Boulevard. (MMDA: 882-0870 / 882-2631).

5.Enter a magical kingdom

There’s a ‘magical’ way to spend summer and it is at the Enchanted Kingdom. New rides, new treats, and new attractions await park goers. Make sure to drop by Agila, a flight motion simulated attraction housed in a massive theater. Cap your summer night with fireworks!
