HK triathletes stamp class

Hong Kong dominated the opening day of the 2019 NTT ASTC Subic Bay International Triathlon (SuBIT) Asian Cup after a remarkable 1-2-3 finish in both the men’s and women’s sprint distance events yesterday in Subic.

Jason Hardcastle retained his title in

Nicholas Tsang Cheung Singh and Philip Chenaux-Repond finished second and third after clocking 57.11 and 58.34, respectively.

Five other HK bets made it to the top 10 of the event sanctioned by the International Triathlon Union ( ITU ) and the Asian Triathlon Confederation (ASTC) and backed by SBMA and its Tourism

Department, the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Pocari Sweat, Standard Insurance, Asian Centre for Insulation Philippines (ACIP), NTT, and the ACEA Beach Resort & Hotel.

Christian Legacy Academy student Joshua Ramos emerged as the top local finisher at 8th place (1:00.57). Juan Baniqued wound up 10th (1:01.35).
