Study Law and Political Economy at an institution that knows them the most
Today’s increasingly complex, globalized world calls for a more integrative mindset. Social, political, and economic issues pose challenges that cannot be adequately approached from a one-dimensional perspective. Thus the Juris Doctor (Law) and Political Economy (Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees) Programs of the School of Law and Governance of the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to understand and analyze contemporary issues with a multidisciplinary approach grounded on history, philosophy, political science, economics, sociology, and public administration.
Anchored on the core principles of human dignity, solidarity, and common good, the theoretical instruction and research orientation of these programs are complemented with internship and discussion sessions led by expert practitioners from government, industry, and civil society. Furthermore, each student is given personalized attention through regular one-on-one mentoring. This holistic approach enables students to make effective leadership and governance decisions in diverse settings.
Graduates of these programs pursue careers in law, corporate world, academe, politics and government, diplomacy and foreign service, policy research and analysis, and development work and advocacies.
Application is ongoing. Deadline for application to the Masters in Political Economy Program is on May 31, and for the Law Program on May 17. Slots and scholarships are on a first come, first preferred basis.
