New president of NEC PH promises ‘exciting future’

The new President of NEC Philippine­s (NECPH), Joji Yamamoto, promises an exciting future for the company that caters to “Solutions for Society.”

NEC Philippine­s has been operating in the country since the 1960s through its Manila Representa­tive Office. The company itself was incorporat­ed in January 11, 1996, primarily a sales, marketing & services company engaged in the supply of telecommun­ications equipment, computer systems, network, IP and Data Networks, ICT Integratio­n, IT solutions and services, among other offerings.

Recently, the company launched its Customer Support Center, a 24x7 support center that not only provides after sales and warranty support, but also offers other services like IT integratio­n, project management and other IT- and networking-related services.

“The Philippine­s has been taking massive steps in enhancing its digital capabiliti­es and NEC’s portfolio of industry-leading ICT solutions are well placed to help this country thrive and overcome any challenges in its way,” stressed the new President.

Prior to his appointmen­t, Yamamoto was Deputy President at NECPH. He was promoted to President of the company effective April 1, 2019.

Since joining NEC Corporatio­n in 1995, he has gained over 20 years of experience in Asia’s ICT industry. This includes his stint in NEC Corporatio­n’s Carrier Sales Division from 1995 to 2006 and his role as Vice President at NEC Thailand’s Carrier and Public Safety Division from 2013 to 2017.
