Villar, Poe, Go keep lead in Senate race

Incumbent Senators Cynthia Villar and Grace Poe and former presidenti­al aide Bong Go continue to maintain their top three positions in the senatorial race in the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsibl­e Voting’s (PPCRV’s) partial and unofficial tally a week after the midterm elections.

Based on the 86,320 out of the total

87,540 votes that have been tallied as of 12:16 p.m. Monday, Villar, who has consistent­ly been at the No. 1 spot in the official and unofficial tally, now has 25,116, 310 votes, while Poe has 21,911,481 votes.

Administra­tion-backed candidate Go has 20,453,347 votes.

In fourth place is former senator Pia Cayetano with 19,632,440 votes. Trailing behind at fifth place is former Philippine National Police chief Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa with 18,802,305 votes.

Incumbent Senator Sonny Angara is on the sixth spot with 18,041,634 votes, while actor-turned-politician Lito Lapid placed seventh with 16,880,206 votes.

Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos, the daughter of former President Ferdinand Marcos, is at eighth spot with 15,729,192 votes.

Former presidenti­al adviser on political affairs Francis Tolentino is in ninth place with 15,368,023 votes, while incumbent Sen. Koko Pimentel is at 10th spot with 14,548,465 votes.

Former senator Bong Revilla is on the 11th spot with 14,546,314 votes, while incumbent Sen. Nancy Binay is in 12th place with 14,448,498 votes.

Lagging behind the top 12 are incumbent Senators JV Ejercito and Bam Aquino and former senator Jinggoy Estrada.
