Three teams try to bounce back from losses while Chef ’s Classics seeks a resounding debut today in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at The Arena in San Juan City.

Motolite hopes to regain its bearings against aces Chef ’s Classics at 4 p.m. while Air Force and BanKo-Perlas aim to recover from previous defeats in their 6 p.m. tussle.

The Power Builders absorbed a 2514, 25-15, 25-14 setback to the Creamline Cool Smashers, but remained optimistic they can find their firepower behind top spiker Myla Pablo, Tots Carlos, Isa Molde, Marist Layug and Iris Tolenada.

Motolite also guns to improve its offensive strategy after tallying only six excellent sets the last time.

Chef ’s Classics, meanwhile, looks to make an impact with former La Salle standout Justin Tiu and twins Nieza and Ella Viray in front of their attack along with setter Noreen Gabriana and liberos Julia Angeles and Mialyn Manabat.

In the other pairing, BanKo-Perlas is coming off a 25-23, 25-23, 17-25, 25-20 loss to Pacifictown Army while Air Force yielded to Creamline, 25-23, 2520, 25-15, in its first match after a short hiatus.

Nicole Tiamzon is tipped to lead the Perlas Spikers along with Dzi Gervacio, Sue Roces and Kathy Bersola while the Lady Jet Spikers have Dell Palomata, May Ann Pantino and Judy Caballejo in charge of the assault.
