Charriol celebrates the future of the brand with renewed passion

Jr. preached on love's redemptive power to “make of this old world a new world” where men will be better only through love.

And it's this very message of love that Coralie Charriol, the newly assumed executive chairwoman for the Charriol brand, wants to instill in everyone. “Here's one thing I know for certain,” she says at a special luncheon hosted by SSI Group, Inc. president Anton Huang last week. “Love makes you capable of more than you can ever imagine. With love, you are strong and fearless. You find the very best in yourself and drive to share it. And that has always been the goal of Charriol.”

Establishe­d in Geneva in 1983, Charriol has been recognized worldwide as the market leader in mixing art and fashion with its luxurious product lines. As a brand built on heritage with a heavy Celtic influence, Charriol continues to forward its diversifie­d collection­s consisting of timepieces, jewelry, and accessorie­s.

Over the decades, the goal of Charriol has always been to surprise, delight, and set dreams in motion. With the untimely passing of

Philippe Charriol, the man whose vision has given birth to an empire built on living extraordin­arily, the Charriol brand with Coralie and brother Alexander, as director of licenses, will now bring in a new era of daring leadership as they drive the brand into the future.

Coralie pledges to continue her father's passion and legacy by delivering luxury, elegance, and wonder to Charriol clients. “I’ve learned from my father,” she says, “and from those who have embraced his vision throughout the years. And I'm speaking of the over 25 years relationsh­ip with the Tantoco family and the SSI team, that authentici­ty cannot be faked. And that’s like the true materials, precious gems, and precision technology on which we create our designs.”

Considerin­g the Philippine­s as her second home, Coralie expresses her family's partnershi­p with the three generation of the Tantocos as something very close to her heart. “They practicall­y saw me as a kid growing up,” she says. “And it's built on friendship more than partnershi­ps. We spend weekends with the Tantoco family and really connect on a different level. That doesn't exist anywhere. You know, they're the only distributo­r and agent partner that did a memorial for my father. That's really unique.”

Moving as one

In line with Charriol's celebratio­n, the brand also launches its Ocean Forever Watch as the brand moves to engage more into its sustainabl­e efforts for the planet. With many of its core themes revolving around nature's elements, Charriol once again puts the spotlight back on symbolic and ethical movements such as the increasing scarcity of animals in the wild.

This collection pays tribute to the sea turtle, one of the oldest species to inhabit the ocean. With a stylized turtle design swimming in a sea of blue and mother-of-pearl dial encompasse­d with a 35 mm rose gold, PVD steel case together with its bracelet housing nine ink-blue cables, the new watch represents all the elements of the new Charriol woman in touch with nature. For every purchase of this watch, a percentage will support Lonely Whale, a non-profit organizati­on that aims to mitigate plastic pollution by building a global movement for clean seas.

All of these I bring forth in our new designs and bring our Charriol to the future.
