Fuso presents latest truck lineup to get business moving

Owing to the booming commercial vehicle industry spurred on by the government’s Build, Build, Build program, Fuso trucks hopes to capitalize on the renewed need for logistics solutions with their new medium to heavy duty trucks.

To do this, Sojitz Fuso Philippines, distributor of Fuso trucks helf the first Fuso Experience; a preview and test drive of their new medium and heavy duty trucks at their lot in Sta. Rosa Laguna.

The trucks that were available for test drive were the FI-1217R 6-wheeler medium-duty truck with a 22-foot loading span, a 11.9-ton GVW powered by a 4D37 3.9L turbo-diesel engine as well as the FJ 2528R 10-wheeler heavy-duty truck which has a 32-foot load span, a 25-ton GVW with a 6S20 6-cylinder 6.4L turbodiesel. The largest Fuso model was the massive FV 10-wheeler Super Great tractor head (soon to be offered locally) with a 60-ton GVW powered by an OM457 12L turbodiesel with a 12speed transmission.

Finally, Fuso also presented their modern PUV Canter Commute and Canter Express, both powered by a Euro 4 compliant 3.0-liter, inline four, direct-injection, and turbocharged diesel engine that can generate a maximum of 125 horsepower along with 294Nm of torque. Both are mated to a five-speed manual transmission.

The Fuso Canter Commute can accommodate up to 30 people while the Canter Express can fit 25 people including the driver.

Sojitz Fuso Philippines hopes that, with events like these, clients can experience first-hand what it’s like to drive the trucks they’ll be purchasing for their businesses.

Besides test drives, attendees were given a detailed product presentation on the features and capabilities of each truck on showcase during the event.

With this event, Fuso hopes to makes its mark in the growing commercial vehicle sector with rugged but driverfriendly trucks for medium to large scale businesses.
