What the stars wore to the first-ever Black Magic Halloween Party
With All Soul’s Day just around the corner, the training and management subsidiary of ABSCBN Corporation, Star Magic, found it timely to mount at Resorts World Manila a Halloween party dubbed “Black Magic” participated in by their artists.
Dimples Romana bagged the “WTF” (Wow That’s Fantastic) Costume Award. She came as Maleficent, the villain character in “Sleeping Beauty.” The actress wore huge dark angel wings, headpiece with horns, and she carried a Maleficent staff.
Love teams also took home awards.
Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla as KathNiel was declared Best in Costume. She did her impression of sultry DC Comics villain Poison Ivy while he wore a full human eyehead mask.
Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil as LizQuen was named Best Couple Costume who came as “White Chicks’” socialite sisters Brittany and Tiffany Wilson.
Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber as MayWard won Most Creative Costume. They chose characters Saitama and Genos from the Japanese web series “One Punch Man.”
Heaven Peralejo, Zeus Collins, and Gillian Vicencio bagged the Sexiest, Funniest, and Scariest Costume Awards, respectively.
Heaven wore the costume of Wonder Woman, complete with headband, wrist props, sword and shield.
Zeus made people laugh with his version of seven-year-old Latina girl Dora of “Dora The Explorer.” The 26-year-old dancer’s hair had full bangs wig and he had a purple backpack that matched pink top and orange short.
Gillian Vicencio terrified as ghost straight from horror flick “Eerie.”
Other winners of the night were Kira Balinger and Enzo Pineda, who won Metro’s Best Female and Male Transformation Awards. The young actress transformed into Harley Quinn, while the actor did the title character in “Beetlejuice.”
Star Magic staff who wore “The Purge” bagged the Best Group Costume.
Jane de Leon came as Lara Croft, Janella Salvador as Marilyn Monroe, Trina Legaspi as Rogue, Nikko Natividad as Mr. Bean, Iñigo Pascual as dead Ernesto de la Cruz, and Chienna Filomeno as Sailor Moon.
The event was hosted by Robi Domingo and MYX VJ Aya Fernandez. Music was provided by Kat DJ, Chubasa and emcee Marga.
