Fair weather seen in entire country

Fair weather will prevail over the whole country until the weekend due to the absence of weather disturbance inside the

Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) weather specialist Loriedin dela Cruz said the typhoon with international name “Bualoi” remains outside the PAR and has started to move away from the country on Thursday.

It was estimated at 2,120 kilometers east-northeast of extreme Northern Luzon and moving north at 30 kilometers per hour.

Dela Cruz said the northeasterly surface wind flow continues to prevail over Luzon.

Partly cloudy-to-cloudy skies with isolated light rains will persist over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Apayao, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino due to strong winds coming from the northeast.

Meanwhile, Dela Cruz said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have “good weather” condition in the next three days due to lower possibility of thunderstorm activity.

There is a higher possibility of thunderstorm occurrence again by Sunday, she added.

PAGASA has not issued a gale warning thus fisher folk and seafarers are safe to sail.

Moderate to rough seas are expected over the coast of extreme Northern Luzon, while slight to moderate seas will prevail over the rest of the country.

PAGASA earlier said that the cold and dry northeast monsoon or “amihan” season will likely officially start this week or early next week.

Last year, the weather bureau declared the official onset of amihan on October 26, 2018.
