Sta. Lucia Land strengthens presence in Calabarzon
With infrastructure projects undertaken left and right in the south, coupled with a conducive business environment and the availability of a skilled talent pool, the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) Region continues to attract investors, businesses, as well as institutions that have helped sustain its robust economic growth.
“We have long recognized Calabarzon’s potential as an investment destination. In fact, much of Sta. Lucia Land’s early growth or expansion was within Region IV-A or in the areas of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and Rizal. We have expanded in these areas by bringing in some of our developments that include world-class golf courses and country clubs, masterplanned residential communities, and even hotels and condotels,” said Sta. Lucia Land Inc. president Exequiel Robles.
“Our projects in Calabarzon are quite diverse. With the numerous infrastructure projects in the region, we are more determined to strengthen our presence because we believe that land values will be further unlocked and future homeowners and investors are set to gain from it,” he added.
Various large-scale infrastructure projects — including the construction of new bridges and roads, widening of major thoroughfares, and the addition of new highways — are expected to bring growth within the area.
As it is, the region already benefits from a number of existing road networks like the South Luzon Expressway (SLEx) and the Southern Tagalog Arterial Road (STAR).
Currently under construction is the 44.63-kilometer Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAx) while the proposed Cavite-Tagaytay-Batangas Expressway (CTBEx) is a 50.3-kilometer, ₱22.4-billion project that will bring the south closer to Metro Manila.
“We look forward to these new infrastructure projects as these will allow for better and more efficient linkages between Metro Manila and the provinces in South Luzon, thus allowing progress to spill over in these areas — to the benefit of businesses and residents there,” Robles said.
Some of Sta. Lucia’s projects in Calabarzon include the Nasacosta Resort and Residences, a beachside resort-residential development in Nasugbu, Batangas; Aquamira Resort and Residences, a condotel development built around a water park, located inside the 600-hectare Saddle and Clubs Leisure Park in Tanza, Cavite; and the Eagle Ridge Golf and Residential Estates in Gen. Trias, Cavite, which offers a home, leisure, and commercial community in one address.
