Morissette, producer put walkout issue behind them
Singer Morissette Amon has apologized to Jobert Sucaldito for leaving the show he produced for Kiel Alo without fulfilling her commitment as guest performer.
Five days after walking out of the concert last Nov. 7, Morissette took to Instagram Stories to address the issue.
“Took some time to process things despite the schedules before me, but with much prayer and as I have never done this before, please let me start by saying sorry,” she wrote. “To Tito Jobert and Kiel Alo who was celebrating his birthday concert at the Music Museum that night, what I’ve done was out of character but I still do take full responsibility.”
She admitted her interview with a reporter right before the show triggered the walkout. The reporter asked Morissette about her relationship with her father Amoy Amon, who is believed to disapprove of her relationship with singer Dave Lamar.
“This private matter is something
I purposely did not want to openly share for fear that healing might not prosper between us,” she said. “The moment got the best of me, and it wasn’t fair to those who expected me to come out onstage as one of the concert’s guest that evening.” Recall that right before leaving the venue that night, her manager David Cosico went onstage to say Morissette won’t be able to perform due to “medical emergency that we have to attend to. ”
On her post, Morissette also apologized to the reporter, saying she understands “he was only doing his job” and “values it as much as I do mine.”
Minutes after issuing her apology, Jobert responded on Facebook.
“With this Morissette, anak pa rin kita. I am praying that after this, everything will be okay for you healthwise, mentally and emotionally. Hindi ako marunong magtanim ng galit sa mga taong umaamin ng pagkukulang nila that doesn’t make them less of human beings. Kaya thank you for acknowledging and let’s move forward for a better tomorrow. God bless you anak,” he wrote.
