-

In celebration of the 12th year anniversary of DevFest, the Google Developer Group Philippines (GDG PH) has brought developers, tech enthusiasts, entrepreneurs and technology experts together to share their experience in DevFest 2019.

This year’s theme was “Moving beyond innovation” where participants were encouraged to socialize, learn from each other, and open doors for collaboration.

DevFest has always been committed in promoting innovation in the fields of Mobile, Web, Cloud Technologies, Machine Learning and Design. In this era where innovative and creative ideas are shaping the industry, DevFest aims to get participants on the fast track of these topics and help them get a vision of the future.

As part of the panel discussion, GDG PH is promoting “Modern Diversity,” which seeks to bring visibility to the milestones that #WomenInTech has reached throughout the years. Listen to inspiring stories from women of various fields and ages in this panel discussion.

The event is also catered to the non-technical aspects of the technology industry. A workshop called #IamRemarkable is set to boost selfconfidence, especially for women. This workshop is a Google initiative to empower women and underrepresented groups to celebrate their achievements in the workplace and beyond.

GDG PH has launched its first official event app aiming for a seamless conference experience. Through the DevFest App, attendees can easily sign-in their Eventbrite ticket, access the event catalogue for the agenda, speakers, and sessions. Codelab sessions’ booking can also be done with the app.

Overall, the conference had featured a pool of 27 (local and international) speakers who are industry experts of whom participants will surely be fueled with learnings on their particular choice of field topics through tech-filled talks and Codelab sessions that will simultaneously happen on the event.
