Alex Gonzaga ‘complains’ about mom on controversial Raffy Tulfo show
Alex Gonzaga sought the help of Raffy Tulfo to resolve her “problem” concerning Mommy Pinty and Daddy Bonoy who won’t allow her to go abroad with boyfriend Mikee Morada.
Known as the “sumbungan ng bayan,” the broadcast journalist called the parents on the phone in an attempt for them to patch things up with Alex.
But here’s the catch: Everything was done just in the spirit of fun.
In an interview, Alex shared how the collaboration video — that racked up six million views in three days — started.
“It was a fun collab. Actually, matagal na siyang plano like mga October pa sana pero November lang natuloy,” she said. “Dapat nga sabay kami maglalabas ng video (sa YouTube) but unfortunately na-corrupt ’yung files ko. Nakakatuwa na pumayag siya to re-shoot.”
Raffy was in hot waters recently after several social media users cried foul when he urged a teacher to give up her profession for allegedly “traumatizing” a student.
Asked if she’s worried her collaboration with Raffy would turn sour because of the issue, Alex shook her head.
“’Yung collab po kasi nangyari before the issue. Siguro hindi naman po magiging affected ang mga videos,” she said. “Nag-apologize na rin naman po si Sir Raffy, pinakinggan niya ’yung mga sinasabi ng mga netizens.”
“And I’m not here to judge. At siyempre, nakakahiya naman ako magpipigil na ilabas niya vlog namin.”
What’s next
Indeed, Alex is bullish about her vlogging.
“Naniniwala ako na kaya naman marami sumuporta sa vlog kasi kahit paano nag-a-artist na’ko nu’n kumbaga kilala na’ko. Tapos nu’ng naging vlogger, dumami naman ang opportunities sa showbiz. So hindi talaga ako pupwede mamili ng isa du’n sa dalawa,” she said.
The 31-year-old has collaborated with other celebrities, including her sister Toni. Her next target? Closet raid with Jinkee Pacquiao.
She is not worried that as more celebrities have their own YouTube channel these might affect her own channel.
“It’s natural naman na everyone will also do vlogging. Nandu’n ’yung convenience eh. I believe that as entertainers, we know how to go with the flow and to adapt to change,” she said.
As for her other projects, Alex will return as host on “The Voice Teens.” She also has a movie with Xian Lim for release by first quarter of 2020.
The actress-TV host continues to explore other opportunities, this time as bag designer. She recently collaborated with Secosana, a popular brand of bags. Alex described her designs “simple but stylish.”
