Rachelle Ann Go on AshMatt engagement: ‘Very happy’
Rachelle Ann Go smiled when asked about her thoughts on the Sarah Geronimo-Matteo Guidicelli engagement.
Rachelle and Sarah are longtime friends, along with Erik Santos.
“Of course, I am very happy for the both of them. Alam naman ’yun ni Sarah.
Kahit nandoon ako sa London, updated ako sa mga nagaganap sa life niya. So I’m very happy,” she said of the pending union between the two, fondly called together as AshMatt by fans.
Rachelle, Sarah, and Erik met over a week ago. They spent an entire day catching up.
“Buong araw kaming magkakasama. Wala kaming ginawa kun’di kumain, magpa-spa, mag-tsikahan all day.
Parang kulang ’yung isang araw. Ang dami naming napag-tsismisan,” Rachelle revealed.
The 33-year-old singer also gave Sarah some advice when it comes to married life. Rachelle is happily in love with husband Martin Spies.
She also opened up about her own experience after almost two years of being a wife.
“Masaya po. Mahirap po talaga ang marriage but it is so beautiful. Ang sarap na may partner ka sa buhay. Lalo na maka-Diyos ’yung asawa ko. Buti na lang ’yun ang pinili ko talaga. Kaya sobra po talaga akong grateful. Mabait na tao ’yung napili ko,” she said.
Rachelle is in the Philippines for a Valentine’s concert. Dubbed “Homecoming,” it is on Feb. 14 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Resorts World Manila. Among her special guests are Lea Salonga, Zephanie, and Erik.
After the concert, Rachelle will fly back to London as she will return to playing Fantine in the upcoming West
