Family Elder (FE) noticed that Actress Daughter (AD) seems to be in low spirits. After some coaxing, AD opened up to FE.

AD confessed she expected Her Partner (HP) would propose to her before the pandemic.

After all, they have been together for a while and she found out about HP’s plan through a common friend. The supposed proposal should have happened a few weeks ago, but nothing materialized. The lockdown made the situation even more uncertain and now AD’s excitement has fizzled.

AD revealed to FE the many thoughts in her head, such as doubts if HP really intends to propose and settle down with her. The current state of her career is another concern of AD. Prior to the pandemic, she had no steady project and endorsement. She had to rely on the allowance HP gives her. Of course, this situation was frowned upon by FE, who realized that her money is limited as well. See, FE depends on AD.

The comparison between prior to and during the time of HP was inevitable. Before AD hooked up with HP, she was one of the hottest celebrities and her projects came one after the other. However, with HP in the picture, AD became synonymous to negativity. With the ongoing work stoppage, AD has no job security, as she is no longer priority. FE could only express regret and the belief that HP was the jinx to AD’s career.

FE also raised the frequently raised issue on HP’s preference. But AD denied it. With that, FE did not pursue the issue, as she did not want to add to the woes of AD.
