IZ*ONE breaks own album sales record with ‘Oneiric Diary’

The new album of K-pop girl group IZ*ONE has surpassed the first-week sales record they set in February.

IZ*ONE made their comeback with the release of their third mini-album “Oneiric Diary” on June 15.

According to Hanteo Chart, the album sold 389,334 copies in the first week from June 15 to 21, breaking the record set in February by IZ*ONE’s first full-length album “Bloom*Iz,” which had first-week sales of 356,313, or a difference of 33,021 copies. With this, “Oneiric Diary” topped Hanteo’s weekly physical album chart.

IZ*ONE’s “Oneiric Diary” also became No. 1 on Hanteo daily charts during the same period. “Oneiric Diary” sold 152,635 on the first day on June 15 followed by 43,204 copies on June 16; 65,826 on June 17; 40,898 on June 18; 52,023 on June 19; 8,057 on June 20; and 26,691 on June 21.

Back in February, Hanteo Chart said IZ*ONE set a record through “Bloom*Iz by becoming the first K-pop girl group in history to reach 300,000 copies in sales in the first week of release.

The album placed third on Hanteo’s top 10 K-pop albums for the first quarter of 2020 from January to March with sales of 404,312 copies.

“Oneiric Diary” is an eight-track album with the promotiona­l song ““Secret Story of the Swan” whose music video on YouTube has reached 24.3 million views as of writing since June 15.

IZ*ONE is composed of Korean and Japanese members Kwon Eunbi, Jang Wonyoung, Sakura Miyawaki, Kang Hyewon, Choi Yena, Kim Minju, Lee Chaeyeon, Kim Chaewon, Yabuki Nako, Honda Hitomi, Jo Yuri and An Yujin.
