MEDICAL DONATION
— The staff of the Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center (LPGH & STC), led by medical director Dr. Rodrigo Hao, receives a biological freezer donated by Senator Cynthia Villar, along with a passbox, biological refrigerator, autoclave sterilizer, and ventilator to enhance the facility’s capabilities and responsiveness to the coronavirus outbreak.
Senator Cynthia Villar on Tuesday underscored the need to support local hospitals amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Villar issued the statement after she turned over medical equipment to Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center (LPGH & STC) in a bid to improve its capabilities and responsiveness to the coronavirus outbreak.
“Now, more than ever, it is crucial for our local hospitals to have the necessary equipment and facilities to cope with COVID19 cases on top of their regular patients. The ongoing pandemic is putting so much pressure on hospitals and frontliners, we need to support and equip them,” Villar said in a statement.
The donated equipment include a passbox, biological freezer, biological refrigerator, autoclave sterilizer and ventilator. They were received by LPGH &
STC medical director Dr. Rodrigo Hao.
Villar is pushing for the expansion of the Las Pinas hospital thru her Senate Bill No. 143, which seeks to increase its bed capacity from the present 200 to 500 beds and upgrade its service facilities and professional healthcare services. The bill is awaiting the Senate’s approval. She had earlier said the measure would earmark ₱500 million for the hospital’s expansion.
