AFP: Soldiers should not use EDSA bus lanes

Military officials and personnel were reminded by the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) leadership on Friday to refrain from accessing lanes in EDSA that are dedicated for public utility buses.

This was contained in a directive dated July 2 and issued by General Felimon Santos Jr., AFP Chief of Staff, to all military commanders and chiefs of offices.

“Personnel who will be accosted, caught by traffic enforcers, or reported by concerned citizens for driving along the bus lanes in any part of EDSA must immediately be subjected to administrative disciplinary actions,” part of Santos’ directive wrote. (Martin A. Sadongdong)
