CHAIRS FOR THE STRANDED

– High stacks of new plastic chairs are arranged outside the NAIA terminals yesterday after Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade ordered Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) General Manager Ed Montreal to purchase 2,000 chairs so that locally stranded individuals (LSIs) can use them while waiting for their flights back to their provinces. The purchase was made after President Duterte ordered DOTr to help the LSIs staying outside the airport terminals, most of them sitting on the floor.
