AllHome firms up safety protocols as economy reopens
AllHome Corporation, the Villar group’s nationwide one-stop-shop home store chain, is increasing its focus on customer and operational safety as COVID-19 cases rise sharply with government’s easing of quarantine restrictions.
The firm said all AllHome stores continue to carry out strict safety and sanitation measures to assure shoppers and its employees that each store is safe, clean and compliant with stringent safety and sanitation protocols, over and above government regulations.
This is in addition to the natural advantage of most AllHome large store formats being able to function as freestanding stores, minimizing unnecessary exposure of customers by allowing them to go in and out of AllHome stores without interaction with patrons of other establishments.
AllHome said it continues to implement standard requirements such as face masks, footbaths, hand sanitation stations at entrances, regular customer temperature scanning, and social distancing protocols.
Customer facilities such as bathrooms, elevators and escalators are regularly sanitized, as well as elevator buttons and escalator handrails.
All AllHome stores, on top of regular in-house sanitation are also regularly disinfected by Shieldtec, an AllValue affiliate with institutional knowledge of disinfection.
These measures have encouraged customer visits post-ECQ, translating to higher transaction and sales turn-out.
To further minimize customer contact, AllHome employs cashless payment whenever applicable, via QR Code facilities or through card payment as well as the implementation of smart shopping by browsing through its e-commerce platform allhomeclick.com.
“It is important to note that we are paying close attention to safety, especially in these times. We have implemented several measures to ensure safety of our company personnel and our customers as well,” said AllHome President Benjamarie N. Serrano.
She added that, “To help mitigate the risk of COVID19, we have included in our store protocols the early closure of stores to allow for more stringent sanitation and the replenishment of essential products, the practice of social distancing, as well as the placing of limits on customer traffic at any one time inside all stores, all with the objective of answering the customers’ need for both safety and a pleasant home shopping experience.”
To alleviate the challenges brought by COVID19 to various communities, AllHome responded to the national call for Bayanihan to fight COVID-19. When the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) looked into converting existing large-scale public buildings in Metro Manila as overflow isolation sites to address the shortage in hospital bedspaces, AllHome partnered with the DPWH through the provision of construction materials and other supplies, converting the Philippine International Convention Center to an improvised health facility.
