13 senior PNP officers reshuffled
The Philippine National Police (PNP) has implemented a revamp that affected at least 13 of its senior officers.
PNP Officer-In-Charge Lt. Gen. Vicente Danao, Jr. said the reorganization was triggered by the recent retirements of senior officers, adding that the vacated positions should be given to the senior officers who are next in line in terms of promotions and placement opportunities.
"The retirement this month of senior officers triggered an upward movement in the echelon and opened opportunities for career advancement of other senior officers," said Danao.
The revamp took effect on May 18.
This reassignment as recommended by the Senior Officers’ Placement and Promotion Board is based on the officers' performance and how they can better contribute to the current operational thrusts of the PNP," Danao added.
