What electrified cars can you buy now?
As the leader of electrified mobility in the country, Toyota Motor Philippines has the widest variety of Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs). You can choose from the pioneer hybrid, the Prius (P2.436 million), the Camry Hybrid (P2.402 million), Corolla Altis Hybrid (P1.595 million),
Corolla Cross Hybrid (P1.665 million) and RAV4 (P2.157 million) to offer sustainable driving that matches various lifestyles. That’s five unique hybrid models from one brand, offering customers a wide variety of ways on how they can meet their mobility needs while still caring for the environment.
The leader in safety is also making strides towards sustainability. Volvo offers hybrid versions of its models, under the T8 Twin Engine designation. These models are all plug-in hybrids, which means drivers can plug their car in to charge the built-in batteries. They can also be charged by the engine when depleted. The T8 range starts with the XC60 T8 (P5.795 million), XC90 T8 (P7.995 million), S90 T8 (P5.995 million).
Another interesting fully-electric vehicle on sale is the Weltmeister W5. Just launched earlier this year, the W5 boasts of emission-free mobility with modern SUV looks. It retails for just P2.548 million and boasts of a range of 400-km with a full charge. It has features like a color-changing emblem, generous use of LCD displays inside, and plush leather seats.
This sums up the current crop of electrified vehicles currently on sale. It’s already a long list, but expect more in the coming years as more brands begin the shift toward hybrids if not fully-electric vehicles as part of their commitment to reduce carbon emissions.
