-

Fiber Infrastructure and Network Services Inc. (FINSI), a subsidiary of the Asticom Group, has stepped up its fiber rollout, deploying more than 133,400 lines in 15 months, the company announced Thursday, February 2. As of year-end 2022, the rollout has brought high-speed internet access in Metro Manila and Southern Luzon, including Cavite Laguna, Batangas, Quezon, Mindoro, Palawan and Bicol. "FINSI will continue its work in connecting homes throughout the country," says General Manager Marc Kerveillant. "We aim to continuously grow to provide innovative services to our clients and serve more Filipinos," he added. To support its rapid expansion, FINSI is hiring more people, opening up more opportunities for Filipinos with world-class expertise in telecommunications. However, FINSI provides engineering and infrastructure solutions to industries beyond telco. It plans to expand into the energy and infrastructure sectors in the future as part of its continued growth. The company also makes use of its expertise to assist in disaster recovery efforts. Already it has restored 19,000 damaged communication lines to reconnect residents in Cebu when Typhoon Odette struck the area in 2021. "We exist to improve Filipino lives," Asticom Group of Companies President and CEO, Mharicar Castillo-Reyes, maintained. In addition to its engineering and tech solutions, FINSI offers a range of services to clients. This includes Project Management and Implementation, Network and Infrastructure Management, Quality and Safety Management and Assurance, and Consulting services. (Emmie V. Abadilla)
