Global professional services company GHD said it will continue to expand its 1,000-strong workforce in the Philippines to cater to more clients globally.

In a statement, GHD Philippines Operations Manager Lorraine Gomez said they have been operating continuously in the Philippines for more than 25 years. They have ambitions to even further grow its current offices in Makati, Cebu, and Quezon City.

“For us the Philippines is a valuable market, a source of fantastic technical talent and so much more – this is why we chose to host our Technical Conference in Manila. In addition to taking part in technical presentations and discussions, participants will also hear from our local teams and clients and learn more about the evolving business landscape,” Gomez continued.

At the same time, Gomez announced that more than 100 global technical leaders will converge in Manila on March 14-16 to tackle the challenges in water, energy and urbanization faced by economies.

The company’s global technical conference will happen at the same time as it holds a career expo in its Makati office, as GHD continues to expand its 1000 strong workforce in the Philippines.

“Our Technical Conference is a cornerstone annual event. Delegates from all countries where we operate in Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and the Americas, come together to explore leading-edge solutions and to collaborate,” said Gomez.

An example of global collaboration in action is the local civil and structural teams working with colleagues in Australia and the Americas to develop a unique design for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Batangas to support the country’s transition to renewable energy

In the same week as the conference, GHD will hold a career expo in its Makati office as it seeks to fill approximately 70 roles in energy, mining, environment, marine and advisory teams.
