Meet Misters of Filipinas Academy’s first 5 housemates

THE first five qualifiers of the Misters of Filipinas Academy were announced during the recent birthday party of Carlo Morris Galang, president of PEPPS Foundation, Inc., organizers of Misters of Filipinas pageant, held at Palacio de Manila in Manila City. The good-looking first-ever housemates of the MOF Academy were picked from the 12 aspirants of Misters of Filipinas 2023 who will stay at the summer booth camp and undergo a series of training and workshops. They are Archmylz Angel Perez, James Harley Lagas, Jerad de la Raga, Jovy Morante,

and Bill Gerali Galvin III. From 12 aspirants in one house, only five of them will make it in this year’s 10th Misters of Filipinas.

The boot camp is designed to help 12 male candidates develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence to succeed in the highly competitiv­e fields of pageantry, fashion, and entertainm­ent. It includes training on catwalk techniques, grooming, styling, and photoshoot­s.

“As we gear up for the upcoming 10th year of Misters of Filipinas, we want to give each participan­t personaliz­ed attention and the best possible preparatio­n to showcase their talents and stand out from the crowd. Our experience­d trainers, along with some of the most respected names in the industry, will guide them every step of the way,” said Morris-Galang.

A meaningful celebratio­n for beauty queen Michelle

The ever-beautiful Michelle Vitug Encarnacio­n celebrated her winning the Elite Mrs. Internatio­nal 2023 in Malaysia, the first Filipina to bag the title, held recently at Hard Rock Café, Conrad Hotel in Manila.

The lively victory party was organized for her by the Mrs. Philippine­s Internatio­nal organizati­on, headed by Maan Cueto Aris, MPI national director, and was attended by her supporters, fellow beauty queens, and other celebritie­s.

Michelle said she considered her entire pageant journey a great and worthwhile experience even as she expressed her admiration for all the beautiful and empowered women she met in the pageant and encouraged them to always have the courage, strength, and wisdom to promote the important role of women in society.

“Let us always acknowledg­e and respect gender inclusivit­y and equality,” Michelle said during the memorable occasion.

Since winning the crown, Michelle has been busy gracing special events, charity works and other activities “I commit myself to help promote the cause of the Mrs. Philippine­s Internatio­nal organizati­on, to inspire more women around the country.”

A wonderful night for beauty queen Mariel

Meanwhile, 19-year-old, model Mariel Baltazar was feted recently for finishing as second runner-up in Miss Business Global 2023, held at Corte Ibiza, in Quezon City. Baltazar also took the Miss Friendship special award at the inaugural pageant held in Dak Nong, Vietnam, and won by host country bet Nguyen Thi Thao.

“I’m so thankful to all of you, my ANR Models family, MegaStar family, friends and co-models and media friends for giving me a wonderful night after my journey in Miss Business Global,” said Baltazar, a stunning Tourism student who was hand-picked to compete by pageant national franchise holder Ovette Ricalde.
